It's time to rethink wellness.

The (re)emergence of promising mental health treatments is redefining therapy.

When used intentionally, in a controlled and safe environment with proper support, psychedelic medicines can be powerful tools to help treat a wide range of psycho-spiritual-somatic ailments.

The pharmaceutical model has historically failed to meet the mental health needs of people seeking relief from anxiety and depression. For those with PTSD there was little hope available in pill form other than temporary symptom reduction, if that. Many people (maybe you?) gave up

KAP, while it centers around the use of a synthetic compound as a catalyst for change, deviates from the traditional prescriber-therapist relationship as processing the journey itself is as potent a part of the healing as the pharmacological benefit.

Despite ketamine not being a classical psychedelic, it allows you to experience different planes of consciousness in a similar manner to medicines not currently available for legal therapeutic use such as psilocybin and MDMA. (For psychedelic-assisted clinical research trials recruiting volunteers, search here.)

The ego-dissolving, transcendent experience that many people report having during a ketamine session allows for you to compassionately examine your life experiences and explore your consciousness.

Although there are biological correlates to the brain changes associated with psychedelics, their beneficial long-term effects cannot be fully realized without attending to subjective experience (i.e. acute effects). Therefore, in drug-assisted psychotherapy broadly and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy specifically, neither the drug nor the psychotherapy alone is thought to mediate the therapeutic outcome: rather, it is the two in combination and the synergy between them which results in lasting positive change.

A personal note...

I don't have to tell you that we're experiencing a mental health crisis, and it's no secret that our healthcare system is broken.

For most of my career as a psychotherapist and health coach I've been committed to helping people come off medications, not start them.

My work at integrative primary care practices, hospitals, and as a solo practitioner has shown me that

For over 20 years, I've been guiding people through a curated psycho-spiritual-somatic process designed to reconnect you with this truth. We peel back the layers, revealing what's been there all along.

Looking forward to seeing you shine!

A personal note from Jen

As a child, I loved the sorcery that was silver polish.

With a dollop of that pink cream, a soft cloth, and some elbow grease, my grandmother and I would bring dead things back to life.

It was pure magic!

This chore instilled in me the importance of tending to what we love. It also helped me develop an eye for seeing beyond the tarnish. Dull, worn, neglected things weren't always as they seemed.

I became excited to discover what was hiding underneath.

My work with people is no different.

I hold an unwavering belief that no matter how bleak things might appear on the outside, we are all pure, radiant beauty at our core.
